The 2012 Key West Super Boat World Championship races, and subsequent Race village, open up in less than a week, next Sunday, November 4th, including with the annual boat parade at 4 PM. Boats will be available for viewing on the 5th, prior to the welcoming party. Testing begins on Tuesday, Nov. 6th, with racing beginning on Wednesday. The first race of the day begins at 10 AM, second at 12:30 PM, and third at 2 PM, with the Racers Party, held at Mel Fisher’s Treasures, closing out the day. Thursday will consist of registration and boat testing off Truman Annex, with the second race day beginning on Friday, picking up the same start times as Tuesday, and ending with the Duval Street Party. Testing will continue on Saturday, and the third and final day of racing will take place Sunday, November 11th. This year, three top competitors will be representing those of us at Marine Technology Inc., as Team Gasse, the FastBoats Marine Group Offshore Race Team, and Team Warpaint will all be ripping through the water at Key West in MTI cats! After a strong first full season, Gasse will absolutely be a team to watch this year! The FastBoats team just rigged their boat with a new engine setup from Potter performance, and Team Warpaint will be debuting their new 42′ MTI cat, so there will be plenty of MTI action to keep everyone on their toes!

If you can’t make it down for the races, make sure to keep up with all of the action via the Official Key West Super Boat World Championships Livestream.
